Thank You For My Service by Mat Best

Thank You For My Service by Mat Best is one of the better military memoirs I've read. He's a badass, I guess... I think he would've been cooler as a Marine, though. I'm not biased. As military adjacent, I like reading up on military nonfiction/memoirs, but as a critic, I'm wary because I've read some racist bullshit masquerading as a war memoir. I was surprised be this one and kept giggling by Best's turn of phrase.

Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin

Fire and Blood by George R. R. Marting is a testament to his genius. It takes an incredible mind to flesh out a fantastical history from nothing. I'm sad to see Game of Thrones last episode tomorrow night. I'll need to find a new obsession. Also I had a lot of fun dressing up in a burgundy ball gown.

Brief Answers to the Big Questions by Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking isn’t an anti-social genius. He’s brilliant, no doubt. He’s also witty, sarcastic, charming, and completely relatable in his book Brief Answers for the Big Questions, published posthumously.
