"Dame Traveler" curated by Nastasia Yakoub is a visually-driven book, highlighting women through their travel experiences. Yakoub creates a platform and community for women from around the world to display their perspectives on culture, architecture, nature, and water and fosters representation and autonomy in a world that is only just beginning to give women space to exist fully.
On my second Australian trip this year, the goal was to enjoy getting to BE with my girlfriend but also fall in love with Melbourne. The easiest way for a place to etch itself on my heart, I need to see it as art. So I spend time behind my camera, capturing things I find beautiful.
I will never understand people who fly with the blinds shut. It's an immense privilege to see the world from above, and it's something that should be cherished. The world is stunning, and we should all take the time to appreciate it.
George Peabody Library has been the last thing to cross off my bucket list for several years. I finally did in October, and I was overwhelmed. Stendhals Syndrome played a role, but I finally realized the immensity of what I've done. How hard I fought to have an education. As a woman, a gay woman, this library was never meant for me, but I got to stand there as I am, knowing everything I have overcome to be this person and have all the knowledge I do.
It's not the first time I've driven myself to the airport. It won't be the last. But I was supposed to have a ride, instead my abandonment issues went nuts at 3:30 this morning.
Las Vegas is full of picture perfect spots. I did a whole lot of content creating while I was bopping around town.
