Postponing My Scotland Trip Due to COVID-19
2020 has not been the year I hoped it would be. I've canceled so many trips and never planned many more. The trip that broke my heart the most to postpone was my tour of Scotland. I was supposed to be in the Highlands right now, and I'm really bummed about it.

On Monday, August 10, 2020 a storm swept across the Midwest causing $4 billion in damages that will have economic effects felt around the world. Hundreds of thousands of people were affected, but national media hardly said a word. Iowans have been left behind to pick up, rebuild, find a way through, and wonder why the world didn't care.
New Orleans Kid Friendly Itinerary
I don't normally write about kids because I don't have one, but I spent last week with my eight year old cousin. We played hooky to explore the French Quarter. I completed her "dream" itinerary, so everything is eight year old approved!
Walks on the Levy
Last week, Beau and I were in New Orleans. She had a blast bonding with my eight year old cousin, trying to poke cats, but mostly walking on the levy. Miraculously, she did not pull my cousin head first into the Mississippi.
