Last week, Beau and I were in New Orleans. She had a blast bonding with my eight year old cousin, trying to poke cats, but mostly walking on the levy. Miraculously, she did not pull my cousin head first into the Mississippi.

Movies and pictures will never do it justice. Oak Alley Plantation is beautiful. Walking the grounds is both enchanting and haunting.

I'm kind of a huge fan of my dad's. He and I got to spend a day touristing in New Orleans for the first time in a really long time. More than the things we did, I loved being able to make memories with him.
