"Dame Traveler" curated by Nastasia Yakoub is a visually-driven book, highlighting women through their travel experiences. Yakoub creates a platform and community for women from around the world to display their perspectives on culture, architecture, nature, and water and fosters representation and autonomy in a world that is only just beginning to give women space to exist fully.
On my second Australian trip this year, the goal was to enjoy getting to BE with my girlfriend but also fall in love with Melbourne. The easiest way for a place to etch itself on my heart, I need to see it as art. So I spend time behind my camera, capturing things I find beautiful.
I will never understand people who fly with the blinds shut. It's an immense privilege to see the world from above, and it's something that should be cherished. The world is stunning, and we should all take the time to appreciate it.
Sometimes, I write things that I think come close to explaining how I feel without being too much or too little and hits the right balance of darkly realistic and funny. Sometimes, I write things that make me think, hmmm... maybe I'll be good at this one day. Anxiety says, "Simmer down, god complex."
The coolest part about life is the potential for perpetual growth. I love learning. The one thing life will always do: teach. If you're willing to pay attention, try, fail, exist.
Mom guilt is real. Yes, I am talking abou the guilt of being a dog mom. BUT!!! I forgot, FORGOT, to make time to take Beau to her happiest place on the planet (aside from couch) for three YEARS!!! I fixed it last week, but I am the worst.
