One of my favorite things about Christmas is having the house decorated with the tree sparkling and presents underneath.
This is the first year I’ve had two trees. I’m allergic to nature and that includes Christmas trees. I bought a fake tree to put up in my office, and it has been decorated since mid November. The real tree has been up with lights on it since the day after Thanksgiving, but it lacked decorations until last night.
The house is officially Christmassy!!!
Per usual, I wasn’t able to help decorate the real tree because I don’t feel like sporting itchy pustules this season. Beau and I were on project management while Mr. Decorator was hard at work. Actually, I was hard at work wrapping presents to make the tree look complete.
Honestly… One of my favorite Christmas decorating tricks is to save boxes I get from publishers or Amazon. I can use them for presents, or I can just wrap the empty boxes. It makes the tree look so cute with lots of presents underneath, and you spend a lot less money on presents.
I love having my office feel like Santa’s workshop. Now there is a fake tree in my house, I can officially help decorate the tree. Beau was an avid decorating helper in her cute present jammies! At one point she was under the tree, and I can’t imagine a more perfect present!
