One of my favorite things about winter is a good snuggle by the fireplace.
In Houston, I have little – ok zero – need for a fire. I have to enjoy them while I’m up North in Iowa for a few days.
I grew up with dogs. At times, there was a herd of dogs. In the winter, I loved nothing more than curling up with them in front of a fire to watch movies. They have all passed on, but, now, I have my own puppy. Beau isn’t a huge fan of fire, so we have to snuggle a safe distance away.
We’ve been in Ames for six days. One more day before we head to Chicago. It’s a really warm December in Iowa, so there hasn’t been a huge need for fires for warmth. I’ve made a few because I love them. It isn’t Christmas without a fire.
I had to bribe Beau with a ridiculous amount of yummy treats to get her to sit this close to the fire. She immediately ran away the moment the treats were gone.
My jammies are so soft. I got them from Target, and they say “Santa Claus is coming to town.” Beau’s sweater also came from Target. It is so warm and keeps her very cozy!
