There are good things and bad things about Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I liked the story quite a bit, but the characters and the storytelling fell flat. It is the perfect summer read because summer isn't over yet!!!

As the work-from-home, freelancer, hermit, stay-at-home dog mom, I mean, writer I am, I watch a lot more TV than I own up to.
